Mexico to commemorate victims of Khojaly

An event to commemorate victims of Khojaly tragedy will be held in the Mexican capital. The upcoming tribute to the victims of Khojaly tragedy will be held in Mexico for the third time, since "Justice for Khojaly" International Awareness Campaign started in 2008, coordinator of the campaign in Mexico Himena Holguin Remolina said.

“All nations are part of common world community, and they need to work together despite the geographical distance. You can not ignore such an important issue as tragic event in Khojaly,” she said. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the actual events in Khojaly in 1992. Well-known American writer and journalist Thomas Goltz provided information for the event.

Thomas Goltz is an American author and journalist best known for his accounts of conflict in the Caucasus region during the 1990s. His Azerbaijan Diary is an account of Azerbaijan during the years after it separated from the Soviet Union, through to the Karabakh War.
