Criminal investigation launched into fact of killing of Azerbaijani Army’s lieutenant by Armenians

A criminal investigation has been launched into the fact of killing of Azerbaijani Army’s lieutenant by the Armenians, press service of the Azerbaijan’s military prosecutor said.

The site was examined and corresponding examinations with necessary investigative actions were determined. The Republican Military Prosecutor’s Office launched criminal investigation into the fact of Lieutenant of the National Army Emin Aliyev’s death in accordance with the article 120.2.12 (murder with intent of national, racial, religious conflict or enmity). The investigation is underway.

As a result of fire opened by the Armenian armed forces, lieutenant of the Azerbaijani Army Aliyev Emin Elmar, born in 1986, was killed near Kuropatkino village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavend region on November 2. He was shot dead in his head.

The lieutenant was a nephew of Major-General Lankaran Aliyev.
