Lately, it seems to me, there is nothing more interesting
than watching the agonies and convulsions of the Armenian National Committee of
America (ANCA). The one who keeps trying and trying to influence American
politics over and over again, despite the fact that the head of the White House
is no longer an activist, as was the case with Joe Biden, but a real politician
for whom America is important, first of all.
ANCA and representatives of the Democratic Party of the
United States lost their influence with the return of Donald Trump to the White
House. As much dirty tricks as were done by Democrats like the scandalous Adam
Schiff, Bob Menendez and others, prompted Americans to turn to the Republican
Party for help. The Republicans, in turn, believed that the country was in a
deplorable state and suggested how to fix everything. And the people were
united in their ideas, and they elected Trump for a second term. Biden and his
gang fly out, the "swamp cleaning" begins, USAID, which spends
billions on idiotic initiatives, is closed, America is put at the top of the
list.
At the same time, Azerbaijan is achieving great diplomatic
and geopolitical successes, strengthening relations with Washington, which has
severely damaged the reputation and authority of ANCA. In general, it turned
out that the "allies" in the face of the Armenian lobby and corrupt
congressmen and Democratic senators remained out.
Nevertheless, ANCA's absolutely senseless attempts to
somehow influence the situation continue, using the same non-functioning
levers.
Twenty-seven U.S. Senators, led by Ed Markey (Democrat) and
Sheldon Whitehouse (Democrat), have sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco
Rubio, urging the Trump administration to demand the "immediate and
unconditional release of all Armenian prisoners of war and political leaders
held by Azerbaijan," the Armenian lobbying organization proudly reports.
The letter calls on the Trump administration to "demand
access for international observers to fictitious trials in Baku and impose
"global Magnitsky sanctions" against Azerbaijani officials
responsible for human rights violations."
Commenting on the publication of this odious letter,
supported by ANCA, the head of the committee's Washington office, Aram
Hamparyan, noted:
"The fact that twenty-seven Democratic senators, more
than half of the Senate, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
(another Democrat), signed this letter demanding the immediate release of the
Armenian hostages held by Azerbaijan, puts the Armenian issue at the top of
U.S. foreign policy, significantly increasing its importance for the Republican
Party. the Trump-Vance Party and administration."
There's really nothing to be proud of. I'll explain why now.
First of all, what makes you think that the maintenance of
some document you paid for by Democrats fighting Republican Trump significantly
increases the importance of this piece of paper? Believe me, according to
Trump, this letter just needs to be flushed down the toilet. Especially against
the backdrop of the battles over Epstein's files, he doesn't care what
importance the Democrats attach to this or that issue. He cares about America,
which is what he is successfully doing.
Secondly, Chuck Schumer, Ed Markey, Sheldon Whitehouse are
far from those whose "authority" can be relied on to resolve issues.
Schumer, for example, is a man who has been posing as a
"guardian of democracy" for so many years that he has long lost touch
with reality. He was one of the key figures who undermined the credibility of
the Senate due to his intrigues, double standards and open political trade.
Inside the United States, he is perceived as a man who is ready to sign
anything rather than lose his own influence. Even in the Democratic Party, he
has long been considered toxic, but they continue to tolerate him because there
is no one to replace him.
Stamps are an even more revealing figure. A politician who
has built a career on high-profile statements for decades, but in fact is known
only for the fact that he always fits into any "fashionable" topics,
hoping to catch hype. His reputation is a mixture of populism, illiterate
initiatives and empty promises. Scandals around him have surfaced more than
once, ranging from stories about financing to outright demagoguery in energy
and geopolitics. He is simply not perceived as a serious politician. An
excellent choice for ANCA. The "perfect" senator who signs any piece
of paper.
Whitehouse is a different story. He has long been known in
society as a senator who tries to make a "global conspiracy theory"
out of every process. He played the role of a fighter against "dark
money" to such an extent that he himself came under accusations of
conflict of interest and concealment of financial data. Scandals surrounding
his family and connections are publicly available. He was accused of using
political tools in the interests of organizations associated with his
entourage.
And these people should be an argument for Trump on the
issue of Azerbaijan? P-f-f-f. ANCA understands perfectly well that serious
figures will not sign their papers.
Therefore, there is absolutely no need to be proud. They've
set up a circus and they're talking about some kind of breakthrough.
As for the charges against our country, I would like to note
that there are no prisoners of war here. They were returned long ago after the
44-day war. The trial is being conducted against persons who committed crimes
in the liberated territories, participated in sabotage, terrorist attacks,
political sabotage and armed resistance against the sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
These figures are lawbreakers who perfectly understood the consequences of
their actions and consciously went to what they went to. Therefore, they will
receive what they deserve as a result of a fair trial, the process of which can
be openly observed. This is an internal matter of Azerbaijan, and no one, with
anyone's support, will ever influence our country.
In total, it is absolutely obvious that ANCA now has no
influence or leverage left. All the organization can do is brandish letters
that have no weight for Washington, much less for Trump. Stop embarrassing
yourself and be quiet. Maybe then you won't look so pathetic.
