Baku hosts 12th International Eurasian Surgery and Gastroenterology Congress

The 12th International Eurasian Surgery and Gastroenterology Congress yesterday kicked off at the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU). The congress participants put flowers at the bust of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Opening the congress, AMU`s rector, professor Ahliman Amiraslanov welcomed the participants and experts from 22 countries.

Chairman of the International Eurasian Gastroenterology Association Hasan Ozkan, chairman of Azerbaijan`s Surgery and Gastroenterology Association Boyukkishi Aghayev made reports in the event. The speakers noted importance of the event.

The congress, which will last till October 15, will feature discussions on innovations in surgery and gastroenterology spheres.
