Top official: No need to take Wikileaks seriously

There is no need to seriously consider Wikileaks materials, based on certain people’s personal opinions, the Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Political Analysis and Information Provision Department Elnur Aslanov told journalists on Tuesday.

"The head and chiefs of the Presidential Administration departments have repeatedly expressed their opinions on information disclosed about our country on the Wikileaks website," he said. "There is no need to seriously consider these materials."

He said that information revealed by Wikileaks is mostly false and regretful, because the correspondence of certain people does not serve effective policy, Aslanov said.
