Institute for European Affairs chief: “Azerbaijan is the most quickly developing country of region”

An Ambassador Forum initiated by the Institute for European Affairs was held in Berlin, Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany said. Renowned businessmen, professors from Universities, reps of large companies, governmental dignitaries and parliamentarians invited by the Institute spoke about Azerbaijan.

Head of the Institute for European Affairs Dr. Jürgen Gramke gave detailed information about the Land of Fire, stressing the country`s importance for Germany. At his words, the German public is deeply interested in Azerbaijan. Noting the country is the most quickly developing country of region, Dr. Jürgen Gramke said the two countries have good relations.

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Germany Perviz Shahbazov highlighted the participants on the republic, the country`s economy, culture, policy, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The Ambassador also provided statistics on the republic stating that 75 percent of the region`s economy fall to Azerbaijan, adding that the Nagorno Karabakh problem has entailed heavy material and spiritual losses. The problem is still the main obstacle for development of region, he underlined.

The Ambassador answered the questions of attendees.
