"Azerbaijan to support Turkey's policy"

Turkey and Azerbaijan are friendly and brotherly countries, and Turkey’s current policy meets interests of the Turkish state and Turkish people, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov told journalists on Friday.

He was commenting on recent worsening of the Turkish-Israeli relations. "Turkey is fully capable of pursuing its policy and ensuring its efficiency. Azerbaijan provides and will further provide it with necessary support," he underlined.

Hasanov said Azerbaijan has always won confidence of its neighbors and world countries by its current policy. "Azerbaijan has occupied its worthy place as a reliable partner, faithful friend and peaceful country among world countries," he added.

Relations between Turkey and Israel worsened after this May 31 2010, the Israeli navy attack on the convoy "freedom flotilla" that followed in Gaza.
