Members of Ombudsman`s National Preventive Mechanism Group attend international seminar in Warsaw

Head of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman`s National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) Group, Vugar Maharramov and member of the group Sabuhi Abbasov have attended an international seminar in Warsaw on the United Nations (UN) Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture (OPCAT) and Ombudsman.

The event was co-organized by European Chapter of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Polish Ombudsman. Further activities and mandates of NPM, cooperation with the UN CAT-OP-Committee against torture and other issues were discussed at the seminar.

Attending the debates, Azerbaijani representatives spoke of the activity of the country`s Ombudsman Office and NPM Group.
