Ilham Aliyev congratulates president of the Republic of Tajikistan

Ilham Aliyev congratulated president of the Republic of Tajikistan on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Tajikistan – the Day of Independence. Below is the letter text.

"Dear Emomalii Sharifovich,

On behalf of all the people of Azerbaijan and on my own, I would like to sincerely congratulate you and through you all the people of your country on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Tajikistan – the Day of Independence.

I am sure that we will continue applying mutual efforts towards permanent strengthening of Azerbaijani-Tajik friendship and cooperation that are based on historical traditions and development of interstate relations, and reflect the interest of our peoples.

On this momentous day I wish you, dear Emomalii Sharifovich, good health, happiness and success in your activities, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Tajikistan.
