The South Caucasus is of great interest for the European Union, said European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort to journalists on Sunday in Baku.

For this reason he visits the capitals of the three countries in the region, said Lefort.

According to him, it is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov, Minister of Defense Safar Abiyev and Speaker Oktay Asadov. The regional issues will be discussed on meetings.
