British magazine "Exchange" about Azerbaijan's success

"Exchange", the international business and diplomacy magazine of the Great Britain has published interview of the ambassador of Azerbaijan to this country Fakhraddin Gurbanov.

In the interview the Ambassador speaks of sustainable development of economy of Azerbaijan, current state of and prospects for energy sector of Azerbaijan, carried out measures in the field of management of the oil revenues, including activity of the State Oil Fund, economic cooperation of the country with Great Britain, in particular, the role of the British companies in development of oil and gas deposits, the victory of Azerbaijan in song contest "Eurovision-2011" and tourism development.

The diplomat underlines that macro-economic indicators of Azerbaijan raise every year, and thanks to it in the country there is political and economic stability. The Ambassador notes that realization of energy projects of regional importance serve as a push for economic development, informs on the activity of the State Oil Fund directed on effective use of incomes of realization of energy resources. Mr. Gurbanov underlines special role of the British companies in export of energy resources of Azerbaijan, stresses that Azerbaijan has favorable environment for investments.

In interview the Ambassador notes that current year has been declared in Azerbaijan as Year of Tourism, and tourism development in the country possessing rich flora and fauna, is today one of the priority directions. According to the Ambassador, till the end of this year Baku will have five-star hotels, and tourism projects are being realized in regions, too.

The diplomat underlines that the "Eurovision" song contest forthcoming in Baku will create good ground for propagation of rich culture of the Azerbaijani nation and tourism development.
