
The Azerbaijani government will reconstruct Christian Orthodox Church in Serbia and Bayragli mosque in Belgrade, Azerbaijani ambassador to Serbia Eldar Hasanov said in his interview to Tanjug news agency.
Ambassador said agreement on enhancement of cooperation between the two countries had been reached during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Belgrade in June.
Eldar Hasanov said cultural center would be built in Novi Pazar of Sandzak region densely-populated by Bosnians.
Ambassador said Tashmaydan park in Belgrade had been reconstructed by the Azerbaijani government. Monuments were erected to former President Heydar Aliyev and Serbian writer Milorad Pavic in the park. Monument to outstanding Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov was unveiled in Novi Sad city in Voyvodina region. Azerbaijan sent humanitarian aid for the Serbian refugees and orphans.
