Romanian delegation visits historical core of Baku

A delegation of Romania`s leading Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) has today toured Ichari Shahar, Inner City, historic core of Azerbaijan`s capital. Visitors were informed about the Icharishahar which was included in the UNESCO`s World Heritage List.

The visit started from the Chinese Mosque, which was recently reconstructed. Participants visited the Icharishahar (Inner City) State Historical-Architectural Reserve, the Shirvanshahs` Palace Complex, Siratagli religious-architectural complex, the Maiden Tower and Art Garden located in Karvansara. The delegation was informed on the history of the Maiden Tower and reconstruction and conservation works held in Ichari Shahar.
