
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Argentina Mammad Ahmadzade visited the country`s Chaco and Corrientes provinces.
The diplomat met governor of Chaco Jorge Capitanich, President of Chamber of Deputies Juan Jose Bergia, members of parliament and Mayor of Resistencia Aida Ayala.
In Corrientes, the ambassador met Vice-Governor and Chairman of the province`s Senate Braillard Poccard, members of the Senate, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Pedro Cassani, members of the chamber, Economy Minister Jorge Vara and Mayor of Corrientes Camau Espinola.
During the meetings, Ahmadzade spoke about the realities of Azerbaijan, history of independence, Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, economic accomplishments in the country, Azerbaijan`s leading role in the region, cultural diversity and rich heritage, as well as cooperation with the Latin American countries, including Argentina.
They also touched upon the opportunities for cooperation of provinces and cities with Azerbaijan. They also agreed to organize reciprocal visits and sign documents.
During the visit, roundtable meeting were held on Azerbaijan`s economic potential and bilateral economic cooperation.
As part of the trip, Ahmadzade also met rector of the National University of the Northeast, Eduardo del Valle to discuss cooperation-related issues.
