Head of the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO held a meeting with the NATO Secretary General

Today, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO, Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim was received by the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. Secretary General praised Azerbaijan’s strong partnership with NATO, especially emphasizing a contribution to ISAF.

Ambassador Ibrahim underlined a long and successful history of Azerbaijan’s cooperation with the Alliance and stressed recent efforts to provide much needed training for Afghanistan. He also presented his assessment of the regional issues.

Secretary General Rasmussen stated NATO’s interest in futher developing partnership with Azerbaijan.
