The idea of establishing "Greater Armenia" is behind the opening of the Georgian Muslims Office, Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade believes.
"This started from the date when Georgia’s four-cross flag was adopted," Pashazade told journalists on Monday.
A group of individuals last week founded the Georgian Muslims Office.
Establishing the Georgian Muslims Office in the country pursues the goal of turning the Muslims living in the country away from Azerbaijan, Pashazade said.
"I have no doubt that the idea of 'Greater Armenia' is behind this plan. This event in Georgia is the first step in future political games," Pashazade said.
He stressed that the Supreme Religious Council of the Caucasus Peoples at today’s meeting also condemned the establishment of the NGO Georgian Muslims Office.
