MP: Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan to be priority of Azerbaijan's activities in Euronest PA

Establishment of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of Euronest will help present to the attention of the world community the realities of the region, said Azerbaijani MP.

"Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan, and the problems created by it will be a priority of our activities in the Euronest PA, member of delegation to the Euronest PA, MP Asim Mollazade said.

The founding meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly took place in Brussels on May 2-3. Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation consisting of the first deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament, the chairman of the committee on security and defense Ziyafet Askerov, the chairman of the committee on legal policy and statehood of the Parliament Ali Huseynli, MPs Gulchohra Mammadova, Elkhan Suleymanov, Fuad Muradov, Azer Kerimli and Asim Mollazade.
At the meeting, elections were held for the president and vice presidents of the Euronest PA, as well as members of the Bureau.

Azerbaijani MP Elkhan Suleymanov was unanimously elected Vice President of Euronest PA and Bureau member. Also Suleymanov was elected head of the parliamentary group of Azerbaijan in Euronest PA. Azerbaijan will be represented in the organization by ten MPs.

MP Fuad Muradov has been elected co-chairman of the energy committee of the organization.
The Euronest PA will assist in the development of cooperation of Azerbaijan and the region with the EU on broader and more specific spheres.
