Uzbek Prosecutor General meets Azeri interior minister

Uzbek Prosecutor General Rashitjon Kadyrov met Azerbaijan's internal affairs minister Ramil Usubov.

The minister praised the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations. He said the foundations of the bilateral relations were laid by Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Usubov in particular praised the cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Uzbek law-enforcement bodies and internal affairs authorities.

"This cooperation has solid legal basis, which includes a number of agreements, protocols and other documents."

Kadyrov highlighted justice reforms in Uzbekistan. He praised the Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies' work to ensure stability and their fight against crime in the country.
