Uzbekistan ‘interested’ in developing legal cooperation with Azerbaijan

Uzbek Prosecutor General Rashitjon Kadyrov expressed his country's interest in developing legal cooperation with Azerbaijan.

Kadyrov met with Azerbaijan's minister of justice Fikrat Mammadov.

"I believe my visit will contribute to boosting the cooperation between justice authorities of our countries."

"Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have successfully realized agreements on cooperation," he added.

Kadyrov praised Azerbaijan's justice reforms. "For already 10 years Azerbaijan has been an active member of the Council of Europe."

Mammadov praised the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations. The minister highlighted the Azerbaijani government's reforms to improve the country's justice system.

They also discussed a range of issues of mutual concern, including anti-corruption measures.
