Azerbaijan always attached particular importance to such forums, creating additional opportunities for the development of international economic and political cooperation, and the strengthening of friendship and brotherhood links among nations, the head of the state noted.

"The reliable provision of the interests and security of all nations of the world causes the inevitability of establishment of economic, humanitarian and cultural cooperation among states, joint struggle with aggressive separatism, terror, poverty, ecological problems and other global dangers threatening the mankind. In responding the majority of challenges the humankind faces with, Azerbaijan speaks for a close cooperation with global and regional countries in all spheres, deepening of integration processes," President Aliyev stressed.

Favorable geographical location, rich energy resources and multinational communicational capabilities of our country create favorable conditions for expansion of mutual links, he added.

"We have always tried to allow other nations to use the potential of our country, and we have stated that Azerbaijan is not an arena of competition of various force centers but an area of cooperation. Developing relations with its neighbors and other countries of the world on the basis of mutual interests, Azerbaijan contributes substantially to regional security and socioeconomic progress," the head of the state noted.

Ilham Aliyev voiced his confidence that discussions with the participation of prominent public and political figures and influential international organizations during the forum would contribute to finding new opportunities and means for solving general human problems everyone cares about, and for boosting relations between states and nations to a higher level.

"I'd like to congratulate the participants of the summit, and I wish the forum every success," the President of Azerbaijan said in his address.
