Pentagon official to visit Azerbaijan on Tuesday

Defense Threat Reduction Agency Director Kenneth Myers will launch his visit to Azerbaijan on Feb.12, the U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan reported.

"The visit aims to strengthen U.S.-Azerbaijan relations in fighting security threats," U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Brayza told Trend earlier. "The Azerbaijani government is one of our main partners and Washington highly values this fact."

Bryza said Myers is an expert on the region and works with Senator Richard Lugar.
