Elnur Aslanov: Sargsyan's statements are not directed towards peace and stability in the region

“Khankendi is Azerbaijani territory and integral part of Nagorno Karabakh. Any international flight to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan should be first agreed with the government of Azerbaijan, with the relevant organizations of Azerbaijan and international airline companies, said chief of the department of political analysis and information of the Presidential Administration Elnur Aslanov.

Aslanov added, that "there is no such agreement", while commeting on the opening of Khankendi airport and Armenian president’s statement that he will be a passenger of the first flight to this airport.

Aslanov added that Armenia always shows a non-constructive position: "Armenian president makes these statements, that are not directed towards peace and stability in the region, but more towards the current "status-quo".

Aslanov added that Armenia’s steps towards the international recognition of Nagorno Karabakh are not realized and will never be realized: “Nagorno Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan and it is recognized all over the world”.
