Japanese government thanks Azerbaijan for assistance

The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its people for their expression of solidarity and generous assistance to Japan, the official website of the Foreign Ministry of Japan reported.

The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan made a donation of $1 million via the Red Cross Society of Japan regarding the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake.

The Foreign Ministry of Japan highly appreciated letters and messages of sympathy and condolences from Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
