Turkish President Abdullah Gul ratified a treaty on strategic partnership with Azerbaijan on Monday, CNN Turk television channel reported. The treaty was ratified by the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament in early March.
The Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Relations Commission developed a bill on Feb.17 to approve the Azerbaijan-Turkey treaty on strategic partnership and mutual assistance dated Aug.16, 2010. The Azerbaijani Parliament ratified the document on Dec. 22, 2010.
The Turkish Parliament received the bill on ratification of the treaty on Dec.8 and the Commission launched the consideration on it on Dec. 24, 2010.
