It is impossible to ignore the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Monday, speaking at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London.
"Even Armenia [itself] is aware that these territories do not belong to it," Gul said, the website of the newspaper Turkiye reported.
According to Gul, despite the fact that Turkey was among the first countries to recognize Armenia's independence, some problems continue to exist between the two countries.
"In the last 1-2 years we have made great efforts to resolve them and will continue to do so", said Abdullah Gul.
