08 November 2010 [19:04] - TODAY.AZ
Moscow will host an event November 10 dedicated to the forum of the heads of Caspian countries, to be held in Baku November 18, Alexei Vlasov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History at the Moscow State University, said.

The round-table will be organized by the Caspian Cooperation Institute, headed by Sergey Mikheyev.

"The information-analytical agency "Vestnik Kavkaza" will cover this event. We were also invited as participants, as was our colleague from Trend agency Seymur Aliyev," Vlasov said.

He said that the meeting will be attended by the experts from all the Caspian littoral countries.

"It is planned to consider the most important aspects of the Caspian problem. The most important thing is to determine the attitude of all countries of the Caspian Five to the idea of creating a Community Advisory Board and how to reach the consensus on the issues that remain at the center of attention through integration organizations uniting resource, political, expert potential of the Caspian countries, " Vlasov said.

He said that the key issues such as bio-resources, a situation worsening each year and basic principles in the Caspian geopolitics will be discussed at the event.

"Some people think that all the problems of the Caspian Sea must be resolved only within the Caspian region without involving outside forces, which do not operate to consolidate total efforts. These two themes will be in the spotlight. Joint work of experts and the center, which we represent, testifies that Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have common ides in resolving the Caspian problem," he said.

The Caspian issue is always considered from an economic point of view. But it is necessary to focus on the question of security, a director of the Caucasian Center under the Russian State Humanitarian University, a member of the Trend Expert Council Ismail Agakishiyev said.

Russia and Iran have a major role because it is important for them to prevent the United States to enter the Caspian Sea," the analyst said.
