Lithuania to send its mission to observe Azerbaijani parliamentary elections

Lithuania will send a mission to Azerbaijan to observe the parliamentary elections to be held Nov. 7. The mission will include one representative of the Lithuanian Seimas and six representatives of the country's Foreign Ministry, the Lithuanian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kestutis Kudzmanas told Trend.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.

The observation mission will visit several constituencies in Baku and surrounding areas, monitor the voting process and will make a report on the results of its activity, Kudzmanas said.

Kudzmanas also plans to observe the elections.
