Armenians’ attempt to show Nagorno Karabakh map in their stand prevented at Japanese International Exhibition

Armenia attempted to show the map of so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic” in its stand at the JATA International Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.
The attempt was prevented with a statement and persistent complaints of the Azerbaijan’s embassy in Japan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, Spokeswoman for the ministry Zohra Aliyeva said.

She said the map of so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic” was removed from the stand.

The International Tourism Congress and Travel Fair was held at the TOKYO BIG SIGHT International Exhibition Center. A total of 150 countries and regions attended the exhibition.

The congress and fair cover different subjects every year. This year the congress was dedicated to Asia and fair – to Africa, said the spokeswoman.

Aliyeva said JATA Organizing Committee claimed that this year nearly 100,000 visitors became familiarized with the culture of different countries, tourism potential of local and foreign companies, and local tourism directions.

Azerbaijan attended the exhibition for the third time. The ministry officials and representatives of local travel agencies attended the exhibition.
