"The Turkish-Armenian border can be opened in the context of the resolution of the Karabakh problem", said deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov Thursday.

"Our main task in the negotiation process on the resolution of the Karabakh conflict is a full restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
This is a long, phased process that might include the issue of the phased opening of the Turkish-Armenian border", said he.
According to him, the current situation connected with the plans to open the Turkish-Armenian border before the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, contradicts to the national interests of Azerbaijan.
