The 74th plenary session of the Venice Commission will be held on March 14-15.
APA reports quoting the website of the Council of Europe that two issues concerning Azerbaijan will be discussed in the session.
The Commission will adopt a draft report on the democratic control of armed forces”, a draft opinion on Bulgaria’s and Finland’s constitution, interim opinions on the Draft Amendments to Azerbaijan’s Law on Freedom of Assembly and the Electoral Code.
Shahin Aliyev, Director of the President’s Office department of legislation and legal examination will also attend the session. Amendments to the Law on Freedom of Assembly offered by the Venice Commission in 2006 will be discussed and the interim draft opinion on amendments to Azerbaijan’s Electoral Code will be adopted in the session.
The 75th session of the commission will be held on June 13-14.
