Health of imprisoned chief editor of Azadlyg newspaper Ganimat Zahid deteriorating

Barrister Elchin Sadygov met with the chief editor of the Azadlyg newspaper Ganimar Zahid in Bayil pretrial detention center No 1.
The information has been provided by the barrister himself.

He said severe rheumatic pains caused complications in the cardiovascular system.

"Ganimat Zahid continues the hunger-strike. I asked him to stop it, but he would not listen to me, expressing the intention to go on till the end", the barrister noted.

He also said that according to the doctor, who had examined his client, if G.Zahid does not stop hunger-strike, it may lead to serious complications.
