Italian Minister for Economic Development visiting Azerbaijan

A meeting between Azerbaijani Minister Natik Aliyev and the Italian Minister for Economic development Pierluigi Bersani started in the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan on Wednesday, as reported by the press service of the Italian Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The meeting aims to discuss prospects of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy.

According to the Embassy, Bersani accompanied by the state delegation is visiting the country by an invitation from his Azerbaijani counterpart.

In the second half of the day, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development will host a meeting between Azerbaijani Minister Heydar Babayev and the Italian delegation. The meeting participants will discuss prospects of cooperation between the two countries.

Upon the completion of the meeting, the sides are to sign a document, reflecting cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy.

In frames of the visit, Bersani will hold a number of other meetings with the officials of the country.

The Italian Minister for Economic Development will stay in Azerbaijan until December 13.
