CIA's website posts wrong information on Karabakh

The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has posted wrong information on the Azerbaijani province of Nagorno Karabakh in the section on Armenia that says "Armenian leaders remain preoccupied by the long conflict with Muslim Azerbaijan over Nagorno Karabakh, a primarily Armenian-populated region, assigned to Soviet Azerbaijan in the 1920s by Moscow."

Foreign Ministry's spokesman Khazar Ibrahim told the APA that the word “assigned” can be understood differently while translated from English.

We have appealed to the US regarding this issue, he said.
