The Dilyara Aliyeva Society for protection of rights of women holds actions in 9 districts of the country for raising activeness and awareness of women at the Parliamentary elections, head of the Society, Novella Djafarogli told Trend.
She reported that under the financial support of the British Embassy the campaign has been held for participation of women at the elections. Training of the observers at the elections is also envisioned. According to Djafarogli, about 70 % of electors are women, therefore the event aims at carrying out enlightment work among females, as well as holding the female candidates campaign.

The Chairman of the Society also said that they had presented proposals on alterations in the Election Code at the meeting with the MPs, government officials, and local representatives. The Organization's proposals are related basically to the NGOs participation at the elections as observers. According to Djafarogli, this problem will be solved prior to elections and NGOs will hold monitoring in accordance with the law. After the elections the report on results of observations will be issued.
