
EU Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger doesn’t object to live in Azerbaijan, the capital of which he considers as the joint of Moscow, Monte-Carlo and Paris, he briefs in the pages of German “Die Welt” news paper - “I am jealous of Maria Furtwangler” article.
Along with a number of other questions the article contains the thoughts of EU Commissioner about Azerbaijan. Oettinger compares Baku with cities such as Istanbul, Shanghai, and Chicago specially underlining the dynamism of infrastructure, culture and human potential.
EU commissioner also noted that if he will have to move from Brussels, he would like to choose a city which unites the features of Stuttgart, Hamburg, Chicago and Baku.
On question whether he would like to live in Azerbaijan the Euro Commissioner underlined that he could live here a few years and he considers Baku synthesis of Moscow, Monte-Carlo and Paris.
Oettinger noted unlike other Post-Soviet states, Azerbaijan is in the good phase of progress.
