'UN is one of the most important organizations for Azerbaijan'

 “UN is one of the most important organizations for Azerbaijan,” said Rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA), Academician Hafiz Pashayev at the event on “Azerbaijan and the United Nations: 20 years of cooperation and future prospects.”

“It was rather difficult period for Azerbaijan when the country became a member of the United Nations,” the Rector said.

“On the eve of this difficult period Azerbaijan’s internal problems were discussed at the UN and four resolutions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were adopted”, he stressed.

Hafiz Pashayev underlined that Azerbaijan became a member of the UN Security Council during the past 20 years.
