New protest held in front of French Embassy in Baku

The International Center for Diaspora, the Karabakh Liberation Organization and Ataturk Thought Association have held a rally today in front of the French Embassy in Baku to protest the adoption of a bill criminalising the denial of the so-called "Armenian Genocide" by the French Senate.

The police didn't let holding of the action. The people chanted 'France, stop!', 'Shame on you, France!', "Stop supporting Armenia that seized Karabakh', and other slogans.

After an eight-hour debate, the French senate adopted the bill. Some 127 senators voted in favor, while 86 senators voted against on Jan. 23.
