‘Armenia will remain as anti-democratic country’

18 January 2012 [14:26] - TODAY.AZ
“Does the president decide on whom to nominate for deputies, and whom not?”  Expert Araz Alizade commented on the reports that Armenian President Armenia Serzh Sargsyan decided that his brother Alexander Sargsyan (Sashik) will not take a seat in next convocation. Instead, another brother Levon Sargsyan will take.

Alizade said this is another evidence to ‘democracy’ in Armenia.  “I do not wonder whether three or five Sargsyan will be in the parliament. I think that the family matters must be addressed at home, not in Parliament," he stressed.

Alizade believes this will not change anything, Armenia is the aggressor and the country would still be anti-democratic, no matter whose brother is in the Parliament. "As for the parliamentary elections in Armenia, then I think they will, as always, accompanied by fraud and violence,” he noted.
