NAP voices attitude towards opposition’s hopes

20 December 2011 [18:05] - TODAY.AZ
The Azerbaijan opposition hopes to even the wind, rain and mud flow, New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Deputy Executive Secretary Siyavush Novruzov told reporters on Tuesday, commenting on the expectations of the Azerbaijani opposition to the process taking place in Russia.

"Due to the fact that the Azerbaijani opposition has no relationship with the people, it expects something from different events. We have all witnessed them - the colored, orange revolution and rose revolution. As always they change color and wear orange suits or scarves. The opposition has gone through all these events and no results followed, because people are the source of power," Mr Novruzov said. He said the events happening in Russia now are part of a natural process.

"It happens after every election. It is happening in Russia at the moment. People become more active during the election period and tension increases. The process will go as long as this activity does not fade. I believe that nothing serious is going to happen," Mr Novruzov said.
