Azerbaijan`s Honored Artist awarded with “Muhsin Yazicioglu Media Awards”

Azerbaijan`s Honored Artist, singer Azerin was awarded with the “Media Awards” established by Muhsin Yazicioglu, late Turkish politician and member of parliament.

Azerin won the award for her performance of a song composed on the basis of a poem by Muhsin Yazicioglu which he wrote during his stay in prison.

Yazicioglu was the leader and founder of the Great Union Party (BBP), a right-wing, nationalist-Islamist political party. He died on March 25, 2009 in a helicopter crash in the south-eastern Turkish province of Kahramanmara? en route to Yozgat for a political rally just four days before local elections.
