Talks underway with WB to organize training for Azerbaijani entrepreneurs

Azerbaijan National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (ANCE) is negotiating with the World Bank experts to organize training for country’s enterpreneurs, ANCE chief Mammad Musayev said.
“Besides oil products, Azerbaijan has a large number of products that can be presented throughout the world. For this purpose we assist the WB project on support to Azerbaijan’s exports in an effort to assist enterprises with organizing export of their products to world markets,” he said.

“Azerbaijani enterprises need to obtain international certification and standardization of their products for further exports. On this occasion we are holding talks with experts from the World Bank to organize training for entrepreneurs, technical assistance, as well as studying rules of international trade,” Musayev added.  

Over 80,000 enterprises operate in Azerbaijan and the confederation assists to improve their operations boosting regional development, he said.

“For this purpose, we have opened 10 offices in various regions of the country and set up 12 committees to study problems in various fields inherent in business. Recently, ANCE met with entrepreneurs in Ganja together with the International Finance Corporation where various issues were discussed,” he noted.
