Russia can halt electricity delivery to Azerbaijan

Inter RAO EES Company stated that electricity is delivered to Azerbaijan under the contract signed in 2006. The contract term expires tomorrow, APA reports.

"If we are not offered satisfactory proposals concerning the new contract, the electricity delivery will be halted. We are expecting Azerbaijan’s proposals now. We had offered the opposite side that we can deliver electricity in the second term of the year under the previous terms and work out a mechanism on new prices for the third term. Azerbaijan did not accept our proposals," he said.
