Azerbaijan to export packaged sugar

Azersun Holding has commissioned Caucasus Sugar Refinery in Azerbaijan.

The Holding press service told APA that the unique refinery spent $1mln in investment. The refinery came on stream in late 2006 at a capacity of 750 tons a month. The German-technology refinery takes granulated sugar from Imishli Refinery.

Up to now, Caucasus Refinery sold sugar in 500g, 750g, 1kg, 5kg and 25kg packets on the domestic market. The company intends to export packaged sugar abroad in the nearest future.
