IFC to take a stake in Bank Respublika

International Finance Corporation (IFC) intends to acquire a stake in Azerbaijan's Bank Respublika, Head of IFC Office in Azerbaijan Aliya Azimova said.

She said the negotiations between parties are ongoing, APA reports.

According to the preliminary information, IFC will take a 10% stake in Bank Respublika.

Through FY06, IFC Financial Products has committed more than $56bln in funding for private sector investments and mobilized an additional $25bln in syndications for 3,531 companies in 140 developing countries.
