Resignment of Armenian army police head, Vova Gasparyan is still one of the most discussed topics in Armenian media. Journalists still try to envision, who will take this post afterall. And no one is even trying to ask a logical question - will the newly appointed head be able to clean up all the mess, and stop this horrific "chain" of incidents, and the suicides among Armenian soldiers?
It's not that Armenian society doesnt care about these problems - Official Yerevan just doesnt seem to believe the "new man" will be able to do the job. One of the possible candidates is Serzh Sargsyan's man, other one is one of Bako Saakian's ("NKR president's"), and so on.
Important thing is - Armenian army is slowly being drown into politics. Not only that, it actually turns into a political tool. Of course, the ruling party of Armenia is used to solving their problems with weapons, and not caring much about the laws. And this "experience" was gained during the Nagorno-Karabakh war - ethnic cleansing, murdering of women and children, robbing the innocents.
And now, all this "experience" is being brought to the political arena of Armenia. Former Armenian president Levon Ter-Petrossian was more politician, and never really went for the gun. for Armenia's 2nd President, Robert Kocharian war was about money. And as for the likes of Serzh Sargsyan and Seyran Ohanian - these are just "field commanders", who took part in destroying Azerbaijani people. Massacre in Khodjaly is one vivid example of their "actions". And right now, Sargsyan and Ohanian continue to solve their problems in Yerevan, using the same methods.
Speaking of problems, there are many. "Field commanders" are walking the thin line. Its not a secret, that today Armenia is at the stake of new war with Azerbaijan, its isolated from Turkey, and it has tough relations with Georgia, as a result of Armenians claim for Djavakhetia. As a result of the mentioned problems, Armenia is simply not able to build stable economy.
Now, with the fact that the country is being "torn apart" by yerevan, karabakh, and even diaspora, there are pretty much no hopes for Armenia to "get back on its feet" and finally do something good for its people.
