Shahriyar Mammadyarov takes time off

At his last contest for the year, twice world champion will face Darmen Sadvakasov, a strong chess-player of the country, APA reports.

"I received invitation to the contest to be held on Dec 17, Day of Independence. Darmen Sadvakasov won Russian Anatoli Karpov at last year's contest," he said.

Darmen Sadvakasov, age 27, was a world champion among the young in 1999.

Mammadyarov will take part in Vake-Aan-Zee super turner in Holland in early 2007. "Year 2006 was successful, so I want to take time off," he said.
