AzerTAc, Qatar News Agency establish cooperation - PHOTOS

The State Telegraph Agency of Azerbaijan (AzerTAc) and Qatar News Agency (QNA) have signed today a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in exchange of news.
The document was signed by AzerTAc Director General Aslan Aslanov and Director General of QNA Ahmed Saad Al Buanain.

Aslan Aslanov updated the Director General of QNA on the history, activity and international relations of the country`s official news agency founded in 1920. The Director General recalled the cooperation between AzerTAc and QNA within the framework of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA). He also highlighted the need for exchange of news between the agencies, and underlined the importance of the MoU.

Ahmed Saad al Buanain agreed with the need to exchange news between AzerTAc and QNA. He expressed assurance that the agreement would mark a new stage in cooperation between the two news agencies. Ahmed Saad al Buanain also added QNA attaches great importance to cooperation with AzerTAc.

The Memorandum will see the two agencies boost the news, photo, experience and journalist exchange, and develop their cooperation within international and regional news alliances in accordance with the two countries` national legislations.

During the signing ceremony, the directors general of AzerTAc and QNA expressed confidence the Memorandum would play important role in deepening the two countries` cooperation in the field of information.

AzerTAc and QNA are actively cooperating within the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), which the two news agencies are members of. OANA, at which AzerTAc`s Director General is a Bureau member, has recently signed a protocol on cooperation with the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) headed by the Director General of QNA.
