Azerbaijan attends children`s rights conference in Monaco

The conference on the rights of child strategy 2012-2015 has been held in Monaco under presidency of the Council of Europe Deputy Secretary General Maud de Boer-Buquicchio
The event brought together about 300 participants representing governmental bodies, international organizations, NGOs from a number of countries.

The opening ceremony was addressed by Mrs. Buquicchio, President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Mevlut Cavusoglu. Addressing the event, Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children`s Problems HIjran Huseynova provided information about the protection of children`s rights in Azerbaijan, policy and progress archived in this field. Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova touched upon the ombudsman`s office`s relations with international organizations and cooperation to protect children`s rights.
