Snow leaves Azerbaijan’s Lerik region without electricity

Weather has been worsening since early hours on Sunday in south regions of Azerbaijan.

Rainfall accompanied by the north wind created many problems for the population. Heavy snowfall is observed in Lerik region. According to the local emergency commission thickness of snow cover is 35 cm in the regional center, 50-60 cm in the mountainous areas. Strong wind damaged electric power lines and left a part of the region without electricity. Emergency brigades are working for elimination of the problems.
