President Ilham Aliyev unveils monument to prominent Azerbaijani composer Fikrat Amirov in Baku - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday unveiled a monument to prominent composer Fikrat Amirov in Baku. The Head of State was warmly welcomed by prominent Azerbaijani musicians. President Ilham Aliyev was told the author of the monument is honoured artist Namig Dadashov. The monument is 3,6 meters high. A park was built around the monument.

The President was informed about land improvements in the park. The park got trees, flowering bushes, benches and modern lightning system. The Head of State laid flowers at the monument.

The Azerbaijani President met prominent Azerbaijani musicians. Rector of the Baku Music Academy, people`s artist Farhad Badalbayli, People's Artist of the USSR Firangiz Ahmadova and son of the prominent composer Jamil Amirov thanked the Azerbaijani leader for his care and attention to development of musical art. President Ilham Aliyev posed for photographs together with musicians and chatted with them.
